A Sad day

The end of the Spring term saw one of our boarders leave to return to her home and school in Germany.  Sina only joined Kingswood for two terms, but it feels as if she has been here much longer.
Although Sina found things quite strange at first in an English boarding school!  She quickly settled in and loved life in School House.  She has made some great friends, especially her dormie friends - Harriet and Eni.  Sina will be much missed and we wish her all the best back in Hamburg and hope she comes and visits us soon!!

PINK DAY RETURNS!

During the last week of term School House continued with what is fast becoming a popular tradition.  In our bid to raise money for Breast Cancer Care and Cancer Care UK the year groups in the house were challenged to make pink cakes, biscuits and sweets and during the week, they sold them during quarter.
The Year 9's set a high standard, with only the year 11's coming close to their total.  On Thursday after the House Cross Country the U6 hosted the Pink Tea Part in the Dixon.
On the final Friday of term we encouraged staff and students to donate to charity and wear pink.
The total raised to date is £1,155.35.  WELL DONE!!
School House will be participating in the Race for Life in June and we do hope as many people will support us as did last year.
Thank-you to everyone who supported our fundraising.
So yummy!
