COMMONWEALTH DAY OBSERVANCE

Alexa and Cielle attended a service in Westminster Abbey to mark this year’s Commonwealth Day Observance in the presence of the Queen, and other members of the royal family. The theme this year is ‘A Young Commonwealth’, and the reflections during the service were based around the youth of the Commonwealth. Speakers included 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi and Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh

A great night out was had with staff and upper sixth formers from School and Upper at the Eastern Eye.  We can definitely recommend the food.  On a very busy Saturday night we were well looked after and stuffed to the gunnells!!
